Behaviour Coach

A 1 Year Fixed Term – Maternity Cover, commencing September 2026.

Salary: Grade 6 £ 31,536 – £35,412 p.a. (FTE actual salary £27,366 – £30,730 p.a.)

37 hours per week – 39 weeks per year (term time plus training days).

Hours of Work – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Thursday;
Friday 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a 30‑minute unpaid break per day.

Role Overview

Behaviour Coach will work closely with the Pastoral provision to support named students in managing their behaviour and accessing the full curriculum. You will promote positive behaviour, working with students, staff, and parents/carers to manage behaviour proactively through well‑defined routines, highly positive relationships, restorative approaches, and the use of proportionate and personalised rewards.

Responsibilities
  • Support named students to manage their behaviour and access the full curriculum, in mainstream lessons, small groups, bespoke programmes, or one‑to‑one interventions.
  • Promote positive behaviour in collaboration with students, staff and parents/carers.
  • Manage behaviour proactively through well‑defined routines, highly positive relationships, restorative approaches and use of proportionate and personalised rewards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience of working with students/learners in a similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High levels of resilience.
  • Enhanced DBS check (required).
