Intervention Mentor

• Plan and deliver targeted intervention programmes focused on literacy, numeracy, social skills, and academic progress.
• Support the monitoring and tracking of student achievement, particularly for identified groups requiring additional support.
• Implement strategies designed to improve student outcomes and raise academic attainment.
• Provide academic mentoring through one-to-one, small-group, and targeted support sessions.
• Monitor attendance and engagement of students participating in intervention programmes.
• Work alongside senior leaders and pastoral staff to promote emotional wellbeing, self-esteem, and positive behaviour.
• Maintain accurate records, intervention plans, progress reviews, and case studies.
• Produce regular reports on student progress and intervention impact.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school initiatives.
• Liaise effectively with teaching staff, parents, carers, and external agencies where required.
• Support the induction and transition of new students into the school community.
• Apply school behaviour policies consistently and effectively.

• Experience working with young people in an educational, mentoring, pastoral, or support capacity.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A passion for helping students overcome barriers to learning.
• Excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities.
• The ability to motivate and engage students from a range of backgrounds.
• Experience delivering literacy, numeracy, or wellbeing interventions is desirable.
