Secondary Teacher | Milton Keynes Secondary Teacher

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people?

We are recruiting for a Secondary Teacher to join a highly regarded specialist school in Milton Keynes on a permanent basis from September.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nurturing and ambitious specialist setting that supports learners with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication needs and additional learning barriers. The school welcomes applications from teachers of all subject specialisms, although experience teaching core subjects such as English, Maths or Science would be particularly advantageous.

The school prides itself on creating positive relationships, removing barriers to learning and helping every learner become the best version of themselves. Staff work collaboratively to deliver a broad, engaging and personalised curriculum that develops both academic achievement and essential life skills, enabling pupils to thrive both in education and beyond.

You will join a setting where staff wellbeing and professional development are genuinely valued. Small class sizes allow teachers to build meaningful relationships with learners and adapt lessons to meet individual needs. The leadership team is experienced, approachable and committed to supporting staff to succeed.

The Role

You will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual EHCP outcomes.
Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
Support pupils to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
Work collaboratively with support staff, families and external professionals.
Contribute to a creative and ambitious curriculum designed to prepare learners for successful futures.
Promote independence, confidence and resilience in every learner.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Has experience teaching secondary-aged learners.
Can teach a core subject or has the flexibility to support across a range of curriculum areas.
Has a passion for SEND and inclusive education.
Builds strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
Is resilient, adaptable and committed to helping every learner achieve their potential.

What's on Offer?

Permanent position starting September.
Competitive salary plus a generous SEN allowance.
Small class sizes with excellent levels of support.
Supportive and well-established senior leadership team.
Extensive CPD and career development opportunities.
Collaborative and welcoming staff team.
Opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young people.

If you're looking for a rewarding teaching role where you can make a genuine difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
