OPERATIONAL SAFEGUARDING LEAD Commencing - September 2026 37 hours per week 52 weeks (flexible working during school holidays) Permanent Salary - £32,597 to £37,280 p.a. The Role

We are looking to recruit an Operational Safeguarding Lead, working alongside the DS and Learning Mentor Team to provide a complementary service to the leadership, teachers and other staff. The role involves leading on areas related to: safeguarding of pupils, which may include holding meetings with parents and professionals throughout the year, as well as following up and acting on all immediate concerns;

attendance of pupils, including working alongside families to improve attendance and following local authority procedures; and addressing the needs of children who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential.

Safeguarding at Brook sward is a team approach; the successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders and other agencies to ensure the best for our pupils.

This role also involves visiting pupils who are not in school and attending meetings across the Milton Keynes area, therefore a willingness to travel independently, whether by car or public transport, is essential.
