September 2026 About the Role A brand new specialist school opening in Autumn 2026 is seeking experienced Teachers to help bring its vision to life. This is a rare opportunity to shape a new provision from the ground up and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people aged 519 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The school will offer a nurturing, inclusive and ambitious environment for up to 96 learners, and these roles require teachers with proven experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure high quality, personalised provision.
The Role As a Teacher within this specialist setting, you will:
Deliver high quality teaching and learning for pupils with Autism and associated needs. Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning profiles. Set personalised targets and monitor progress, reporting to parents, carers and senior leaders. Lead on a subject or curriculum area, supporting colleagues with planning and delivery. Manage and supervise support staff within your classroom to ensure consistent, effective practice.
Maintain compliance with safeguarding, equality and health & safety policies. Work collaboratively with a multi?disciplinary team to create a positive, structured and supportive learning environment. Essential Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Essential Experience Experience working with pupils with SEND, ideally Autism. Strong knowledge of the national curriculum up to GCSE level. Skilled in planning, assessment and classroom management. Able to remain calm, positive and solution?focused
in a challenging environment. Desirable Postgraduate diploma in Autism or SEN specialism. Experience working in a special school setting.
