Job Title: Behaviour Support Mentor
Location: The Milton Keynes Academy
Salary: £30,024 - £35,412 (FTE) £26,527.21 - £31,287.69 (Pro Rata)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full time (Term Time Only)
Working Pattern: 37 Hours per week (Monday - Thursday 8am - 4pm and Friday 8am - 3:30pm)

About You:The Milton Keynes Academy are looking for a caring, resilient and proactive individual who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential. You will have experience working with students, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
You will be committed to promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and student wellbeing, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and a belief that every young person can succeed. Above all, you will share our values and be dedicated to creating a supportive environment where all students can thrive.
Our Ideal candidate will have:- Have experience working with young people, ideally within an educational or pastoral support setting.
- Be passionate about helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
- Demonstrate a calm, patient and resilient approach when managing challenging situations.
- Have experience supporting students with behavioural, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
- Build positive and professional relationships with students, families, colleagues and external agencies.
- Be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and listening skills.
- Be committed to safeguarding, inclusion and promoting student wellbeing.
- Have the confidence to work independently whilst contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
- Be organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities.
- Share our values and have a genuine belief that every young person can succeed when given the right support.
