About the role
As an SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
You may be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
* Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
* ADHD
* Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
* Complex learning needs
* Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
* Physical and sensory needs
* Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)
You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to provide tailored support, promote independence and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
We are looking for candidates who:
* Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN.
* Are patient, caring, resilient and empathetic.
* Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* Understand the importance of individualised support.
* Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Are confident supporting pupils with challenging or complex needs.
* Are passionate about helping every child achieve their potential.
Relevant qualifications and training are desirable, but experience, attitude and a genuine passion for SEN support are equally important.
