Teacher of Science

A Science teacher post at Lift Sir Herbert Leon, a secondary school, on a fixed-term contract until August 2027, starting January 2027. The core of the work is teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, with some Key Stage 5 where appropriate, plus planning, assessment and curriculum development. The school welcomes both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers into a collaborative department.

Qualified Teacher Status, or working towards it, is needed, and visa sponsorship is not available.

• Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some Key Stage 5 teaching where appropriate
• Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics, developing students' knowledge, understanding and practical skills
• Plan high-quality lessons that challenge and support students of all abilities
• Monitor and assess student progress and give constructive feedback
• Contribute to Science curriculum development and wider departmental activities
• Work with colleagues to share best practice and maintain high standards of teaching and learning
• Foster curiosity, critical thinking and enthusiasm for Science

• Relevant degree
