Solar Electrician (O&M) – Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire
Permanent | £35,000 – £40,000 (up to £45,000 DOE)

The OpportunityUnify HQ is working exclusively with an international solar powerhouse that is actively expanding its Operations & Maintenance team in the Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire areas. We are seeking a qualified Solar Electrician to join them on a permanent basis. With a growing portfolio of solar assets, this role is critical to supporting the regional sites, reducing maintenance backlogs, and ensuring safe, efficient delivery of O&M services.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Planned and reactive maintenance on HV solar installations.
- Electrical testing, inspection, and certification in line with BS7671 and GN3.
- Fault diagnosis and resolution across solar PV systems and associated infrastructure.
- Safe isolation and switching procedures on HV equipment.
- Supporting compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Working collaboratively with the wider O&M team to meet deadlines and service levels.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment
2). - NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- Demonstrable electrical maintenance and fault‑finding experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Background in commercial solar installations.
- HV switching and safe isolation training.
- Experience with large‑scale solar farm O&M.
- Familiarity with solar technologies and monitoring systems.
