About The Role

EKFB (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) is shaping infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four partners bring specialist expertise in design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high‑speed rail projects.

We are recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join our Commercial team based in Milton Keynes.

Duties
  • Cost, value, productivity and cashflow reporting.
  • Collaborative approach.
  • Cost optimisation and best value.
  • Change management incl. assessment and negotiation of change.
  • Risk/opportunity identification and management.
  • Strategy development and delivery.
  • Commercial advice, support and input for procurement.
  • Commercial management of subcontract/ professional services/supplier subcontracts and accounts (including dispute identification/management).
  • Contract advice and managing contractual notices.
  • Compliance with business processes and procedures.
  • Development of innovations/processes/procedures.
  • Supply chain and client management/care.
Key

Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
  • Member of a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS etc.).
  • Experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor position.
  • Successful experience at Commercial Manager/Senior Quantity Surveyor level, demonstrating skill in delivering a positive commercial outcome for the project(s) with which you have been associated.
  • Ability as a leading member of the Commercial Team to proactively collaborate with other departments to achieve common project goals, mission, and vision values.
  • The ability to work closely with the operational delivery team to listen, learn and take on board new concepts. Ensure delivery of personal and team action, develop and set strategies. A desire to mentor and develop team members.
  • NEC & Major Project experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Must have a valid CSCS card (White or White/Yellow).

Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high‑speed rail projects.

EKFB was appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high‑speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. Our scope includes 15 viaducts, 5 km of green tunnels, 22 km of road diversions, 67 over bridges and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation.
