Position: Simulation & Modelling Engineer (12 Month FTC)

Red Bull Advanced Technologies are looking for a Simulation & Modelling Engineer to join us for a 12 Month Fixed-Term contract to develop and implement models, simulations, and optimisation of a variety of dynamic systems and vehicles across Red Bull Advanced Technologies projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-fidelity modelling solutions across a broad range of vehicle and system applications
  • Design, develop, and continuously enhance advanced simulation methodologies to accurately predict and optimise vehicle and system performance
  • Develop, maintain, and correlate driver-in-the-loop (DIL) simulation environments to support vehicle design and development activities
  • Create robust analysis tools and lead research into advanced vehicle dynamics and data analysis techniques
  • Communicate effectively with other groups to provide them with objective, analysis-based direction and solutions.
  • Undertake client liaison, participate in client meetings and provide regular updates on project work and output as required.
Key

Competencies:
  • An engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in real-time simulation environments and familiarity with DIL simulators.
  • Familiarity with hardware integration for simulators (motion platforms, steering systems, etc.)
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++, and experience with multi-body simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with human physiology and experience in that field would be a bonus.
