In this role, you will monitor and govern the central database to ensure plans and evidence are up to date and commitments can be complied with. You will action handover, discharge or variation where applicable. You will implement early engagement with Undertakings and Assurances (U&A) owners to ensure commitments can be met and complied with, factoring in client funding requirements. You will support with deep dives and detailed assurance checks using the HORACE platform for investigations and close-out.

You will work alongside the Work Package Managers to identify Undertakings and Assurances for their scope of works, support on associated requirements, up-to-date induction material, training workshops and quarterly audits to ensure site teams are adherent to processes. You will also support with non-compliance investigations, with lead times to meet the U&A incident reporting timeline of 24 hours / 15 days and 28-day close-out, ensuring lessons are shared through monthly client compliance meetings.

You will ensure all U&As are ready for Discharge or Handover as part of the Construction Assurance process. Administration will be required for our Sharepoint site as well as BIMXtra.

Responsibilities

  • Engage early with Undertakings and Assurances (U&A) owners to ensure commitments can be met, factoring in funding requirements with the client.
  • Support deep dives and detailed assurance checks utilising the HORACE platform for investigations and close out.
  • Collaborate with Work Package Managers to identify Undertakings and Assurances for their scope and support related requirements, induction material, training workshops and quarterly audits.
  • Contribute to non-compliance investigations and ensure timely reporting (24 hours/15 days) and 28-day close out; share lessons via monthly client compliance meetings.
  • Ensure U&As are ready for Discharge or Handover as part of the Construction Assurance process.
  • Administer SharePoint and BIMXtra as needed.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of large-scale civil engineering projects
  • Understanding of HS2 Act (desirable)
  • Experience in a similar role with similar values
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to interpret complex technical information
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • IT skills:
    Office, Word, Excel, SharePoint, Document Management Systems; awareness of GIS platforms
