An innovative advanced engineering company developing next-generation electrification technologies for automotive, defence, marine, and motor sport applications is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (PLC & MES) to support manufacturing operations across multiple UK sites.
This hands-on role will focus on automation, process improvement, equipment reliability, and New Product Introduction within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support NPI activities including process setup and validation
- Diagnose manufacturing issues using PLC and automation expertise
- Support communication systems such as Node-RED and MQTT
- Improve production efficiency, cycle times, and line reliability
- Support PFMEA activities and continuous improvement projects
- Assist with manufacturing integration, tooling, and process development
- Manufacturing Engineering or similar background
- Strong PLC and automation experience (Siemens, Beckhoff, Allen-Bradley)
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment
- Knowledge of PFMEA, process improvement, and fault finding
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Hands-on and proactive approach
- Node-RED / MQTT experience
- Database or server integration exposure
- Automotive, motor sport, electronics, or advanced manufacturing background
