The Role

The assistant engineer will support the Engineer/Senior Engineering team in managing multiple developments, preparing all relevant engineering information to a high degree of accuracy, and delivering on time.

Principle Accountabilities Of

The Role Include
  • Work alongside senior team members to gain relevant experience in day-to-day duties
  • Provide engineering and technical support to the technical department
  • Assist in the control and coordination of all engineering information between external consultants and internal departments
  • Assist in acquiring existing services plans
  • Assist in the procurement of proposed services to serve new development sites
  • Assist in the production of site constraints plans
  • Assist in issuing drawings to both internal and external parties
Experience

Experience of working with AutoCAD is desirable.

Qualifications And Training
  • Qualification in a Construction / Engineering subject with relevant experience, or be working towards achieving a relevant accreditation
  • CSCS card or equivalent
  • Current full UK driving licence
Skills and Aptitude
  • Strong communication, listening, presentation skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to express technical information in a clear and concise manner

    Methodical, conscientious, organised and works to deliver high standards
  • Ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to problem solve and delegate effectively
  • Proficient IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems

  • Office‑based role with regular travel to development sites and for meetings
