Overview

Geoenvironmental Engineer – Milton Keynes. Salary: £30,000 - £40,000. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established ground investigation and site services contractor based in Milton Keynes. You will work on a diverse range of residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects, delivering contaminated land assessments and ground investigation works from site through to reporting. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a busy ground investigation environment while developing technical knowledge and progressing your career.

Responsibilities
  • Design, supervise and manage ground investigation projects.
  • Carry out Phase 1 Preliminary Risk Assessments and Phase 2 Site Investigations.
  • Log soil and rock samples in accordance with BS 5930.
  • Undertake soil, groundwater and ground gas sampling.
  • Interpret laboratory data and prepare factual and interpretative reports.
  • Complete contaminated land risk assessments and recommend appropriate remediation solutions.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors and regulatory bodies throughout project delivery.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Support junior engineers and contribute to the successful delivery of multiple projects.
Requirements
  • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Science or a related subject.
  • Previous experience in geoenvironmental engineering, contaminated land or ground investigation.
  • Knowledge of UK contaminated land guidance and current legislation.
  • Experience supervising site investigations and producing technical reports.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
