Rate: £500/day DOE, Inside IR35

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Track CRE / Lead Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure programme delivering significant track and rail systems.
 
This is a construction-focused role combining CRE and Lead Engineer responsibilities, with the successful candidate responsible for leading the engineering team while supporting the safe and efficient delivery of PWay works.
 
Requirements:

· Previous experience working as a Track / PWay CRE

· CRE sign-off is highly desirable

· 2-3+ years' experience operating as a CRE

· Strong PWay / track construction experience

· Experience leading and coordinating engineering teams

· Strong understanding of construction delivery and engineering controls

· Experience working within a safety-critical rail environment

· Ability to provide technical leadership throughout construction

· Strong understanding of engineering documentation and compliance

· HNC / HND / BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent

· PTS

This would suit an experienced Track CRE / Lead Engineer who is confident leading an engineering function while remaining focused on construction delivery.
 
The projects include approximately 4.2 miles of new track and S&C.
 
Projects are expected to run through to mid-2029, providing approximately three years of long-term contract work.
