We’re looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication and time‑management skills and a can‑do attitude.

This role supports the Tax Manager with preparation and submission of VAT, Employment Tax and Corporation Tax to stated deadlines, and general tax governance.

• Prepare the quarterly VAT return for the financial services group of Mercedes‑Benz, ensuring payment and filing on time.
• Support preparation and submission of the Corporation Tax returns and any related tax topics, together with quarterly installment calculation.
• Prepare and submit the PSA return for the financial services division and support on ad‑hoc queries throughout the year.
• Support other Employment Tax topics, such as short‑term business visitors.
• Support Tax Governance topics such as SAO, CCO and publishing the Tax Strategy.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional internal teams and external advisors to ensure tax compliance.
• Monitor and interpret changes in tax legislation.

• Proven experience as a Tax Specialist with a focus on VAT compliance and advisory.
• Strong knowledge of VAT legislation and regulations.
• Experience preparing VAT returns and managing VAT audits.
• Direct tax knowledge and/or experience welcomed.
• ATT qualified preferred but not essential.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues clearly.
