Overview
This exciting role is within our London Region Corporate Tax Advisory & Compliance team, based in Milton Keynes or Watford office. Our clients include UK‑headquartered businesses and inbound groups across a range of sectors. Our work in the tax advisory space includes supporting clients with business and fiscal change, such as advising on new jurisdiction entry, development of new business areas, business reorganisations, tax authority enquiries, pre‑/post‑transaction reorganisations, refinancing, cash repatriation, interest deductibility and the impact of global fiscal change (e.g. BEPS Pillar
2). We work as a hybrid team, meeting in the office or at client sites at least twice a week to collaborate and learn together, with flexibility over how you spend the rest of your time.
- Act as one of the main points of contact on a portfolio of clients on day‑to‑day tax matters and work with Senior Managers and Managers on larger client accounts.
- Support on tax advisory projects by providing UK corporation tax input, researching topics, and collaborating with other tax areas and overseas member firms.
- Ensure clients are kept up to date with emerging corporate and wider tax developments impacting their business.
- Support delivery of UK corporation tax compliance services.
- Supervise junior staff and provide coaching to support their development.
- Assist Managers and Senior Managers with client account management, including compliance with quality, risk management and financial management procedures.
- Support leadership with business development opportunities.
- Qualified CTA, ACA, CA or equivalent.
- UK corporation tax experience.
- Analyses problems, identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates and integrates information.
- Communicates with impact in an open, honest, consistent and clear manner.
- Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work.
- Takes personal responsibility and accountability for managing own work and juggling competing priorities.
- Continuously learns from experiences, seeks feedback and development opportunities.
- Coaches less experienced staff, giving clear directions and constructive feedback.
