Tax Accountant

Job Summary

Butler Rose is exclusively supporting the search for a Tax Accountant to join a well-established, forward-thinking organisation based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering their first move from practice into industry, offering genuine breadth, exposure and long-term development.

Working closely with an experienced Head of Tax, you will play a key role across a wide range of tax matters, with a strong focus on VAT and partial exemption. The position offers a balanced mix of compliance, reporting and advisory work, alongside involvement in year-end processes and audit support.

• Managing VAT, corporation tax and wider tax compliance processes
• Supporting tax planning, forecasting and cashflow considerations
• Advising internal stakeholders on tax implications of new activities and transactions
• Assisting with statutory accounts and audit requirements from a tax perspective
• Monitoring changes in tax legislation and assessing business impact

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or equivalent)
• Strong grounding in tax, particularly VAT
• Able to communicate complex concepts clearly to non-specialists
• Motivated, collaborative and keen to develop within a commercial environment
