Direct Tax Accountant

Butler Rose is supporting a market-leading business with a significant UK presence and global reach in the search for a UK Tax Specialist to join its Central Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of key direct tax responsibilities whilst working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, HR, Payroll and international tax teams.

Duties will include:

• Prepare and manage UK Corporation Tax returns and quarterly tax calculations
• Deliver current and deferred tax accounting and reporting requirements
• Support transfer pricing compliance and documentation activities
• Manage employment tax compliance including P11
  
  Ds, PSA returns and company car reporting
• Liaise with HMRC, auditors and external advisers
• Monitor tax legislation and support tax governance, controls and risk management initiatives
• Contribute to wider VAT, customs and international tax projects

Candidate Specification:

• Experience with in UK direct tax compliance and reporting
• Strong knowledge of Corporation Tax and employment taxes
• Exposure to tax accounting and transfer pricing activities
• Qualified CTA/ATT/ACCA/ACA or equivalent
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
