Role: ACP Minor Illness/Injury Trained

Responsibilities
  • If you are an ACP with experience in managing episodes of care for patients with minor injuries, this job may be for you.
  • Join a team of clinicians to deliver high-quality care to patients in the area.
  • Work across Urgent Care Services; manage acute presentations at the Walk-In Centre as part of a team of autonomous Practitioners.
  • Utilise clinical knowledge to determine urgency and the best pathway for patients presenting to Emergency Departments (streaming).
  • Operate within your defined scope of practice as an autonomous Practitioner to assess, diagnose, and plan care; including prescribing of medications where qualified and clinically indicated.
What they are looking for
  • First Level registered Nurse (NMC, ECP), or ACP
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or relevant ANP courses at level 6 or 7, or equivalent in Advanced Physical Assessment skills, Minor Illness/Injuries, disease management, etc.
  • Evidence of experience and competence within the role
  • Non-medical prescribing qualification
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., 998 or equivalent) – Desirable
  • Satisfactory DBS clearance
  • Experience of managing acute undifferentiated presentations
  • Ability to triage – Desirable
  • Good understanding of autonomous practice within a minor illness & injuries/urgent care centre
