A fantastic opportunity to join a leading Primary Care Network in Milton Keynes, looking to welcome a new Medical Secretary to the team.
This is an ideal role for someone with previous Medical Secretary or PA experience, and strong organisational and administrative skills.
You will be handling sensitive medical information, so a caring communication style is essential.

Shift Pattern Conversations around flexible working and compressed hours are encouraged.
This vacancy is for 25 hours per week, working 12:30pm-5:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Main duties of the jobYour key responsibilities will include reading patient related correspondence, identifying relevant clinical information and updating patient notes.
You will also be providing general secretarial support toour practice and business managers, GPs and health professionals.
You will be handling sensitive medical information, so a caring customer service communication style is essential.
Likewise you will be expected to treat all patients (&colleagues) with dignity and respect at all times and last, but by no means least, maintain the utmost levels of professionalism and confidentiality at alltimes.

Job responsibilitiesMain Responsibilities
- Handling referrals on a day to day basis
- Management of the referral link between primary and secondary care
- Dealing with email and telephone queries from patients &colleagues
- Assisting the Back Office team with any other duties required
To be successful in this role, you will need
- Great attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competent typing and listening skills
- The ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast paced environment

Person Specification Experience- Previous experience within either a clinical/healthcare admin, or a PA role
- Exceptional organisational and prioritising skills, combined with top level attention to detail
- Strong literacy and computer skills
- Experience working with variable stakeholders
- Experience working within a team
- Experience with electronic dictation
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with clinical IT systems
- Grade C or above in GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
