Job overview

We are looking to appoint a Head of Performance & Information who is highly motivated, experienced and business‑focused to lead, develop and enhance a coherent strategy for the Information and Performance teams' reporting.

The post holder will work closely with the Division’s Associate Director of Finance, Performance and Contracts and the Trust’s Associate Director for Information and Business Intelligence to ensure that the performance reporting for the Division fulfils statutory, regulatory and management reporting requirements.

Main duties of the job
  • To lead on the provision of data from the clinical system to support quality improvement, clinical audits, transformation initiatives or business case development or any other requirements for data within the Division. To work with relevant stakeholders to understand information requirements; advise, interpret and develop definitions and deliver solutions.
  • To provide subject matter expertise across the Division on the use of statistical and data analysis tools, techniques and best practice. Leading the development of an expert information and analytical service that integrates teams and supports a timely and accurate evidence‑based approach to decision making and performance management to support the business of the Division.
  • To develop the analyses and business insights into the services within the Division, establishing a robust analytical and insight function to inform efficiency and cost improvement initiatives.
  • To work with the Assistant Director for Performance and Information to develop the Trust’s Business Intelligence and reporting solution, supporting and promoting the implementation of self‑service analytics and data‑driven decision making.
