Main duties of the job

We're offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to deliver specialist ADHD care within our dynamic CAMHS team. You will play a leading role in the assessment, prescribing, monitoring and holistic support of young people with ADHD.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality CAMHS assessments for children and young people.
  • Formulate evidence-based, person-centred treatment plans.
  • Provide a range of interventions for individuals, families and groups.
  • Work collaboratively with the Consultant and multidisciplinary team.
  • Support seamless transitions between community services, inpatient settings, and adult mental health services.
  • Coordinate referrals and work proactively with partner agencies to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.

Job responsibilities

We want someone who brings:

  • Strong CAMHS experience and an understanding of the mental health challenges faced by young people.
  • Confidence in managing moderate to severe mental health presentations.
  • Skills and knowledge related to ADHD assessment and treatment, including prescribing and medication monitoring.
  • A collaborative spirit and readiness to contribute to service development.
  • Passion, drive and a genuine desire to make a difference.
Person Specification Qualifications
  • Relevant professional qualification in psychology/therapy, MH Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy
  • Educated to degree level
  • Member of a professional body
  • Additional qualifications/training in CAMHS
Experience
  • Substantial CAMHS experience
  • Multi-disciplinary/multi-agency working
  • Good understanding of CAMHS services
  • ADHD assessment knowledge
  • ADHD interventions knowledge
