Milton Keynes University Hospital (MKUH) is a district general hospital operating across three sites in Milton Keynes. The Imaging Department delivers a vital service to the Trust, offering a wide range of diagnostic and interventional imaging, including ultrasound, CT, MRI, DEXA, mammography, general X-ray, and interventional radiology.
We are seeking enthusiastic applicants for a fixed‑term, full‑time Band 7 Sonographer to support our obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound services. The post will be based across all MKUH sites, including the acute hospital and Community Diagnostic Centre locations at Whitehouse Park and Lloyds Court.
ResponsibilitiesApplicants must hold a UK CASE‑accredited postgraduate qualification in Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound and will work autonomously, delivering high‑quality ultrasound examinations and diagnostic reports.

Qualifications- UK CASE‑accredited postgraduate qualification in Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound.
- HCPC or NMC‑registered Sonographer.
- Minimum two years of recent NHS experience (preferred).
- Commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Sound knowledge of ultrasound safety, quality assurance, legislation, and health and safety requirements.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and experience using PACS/RIS systems.
