What you will do
  • Provide comprehensive neurological occupational therapy assessments and interventions to patients with a variety of neurological conditions.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalised rehabilitation programmes designed to maximise independence and functional ability.
  • Conduct detailed functional assessments to identify individual needs and establish appropriate treatment goals.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated and patient-centred rehabilitation plans.
  • Provide education, guidance, and support to patients, families, and carers throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Assess and recommend equipment, adaptations, and strategies to support safe and independent living.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes are achieved.
  • Contribute to service development and promote best practice within neurological rehabilitation services.
Requirements
  • Current HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience in neuro-occupational therapy.
  • Previous Band 6 Occupational Therapy experience within the NHS or UK healthcare settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong assessment, rehabilitation, and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Experience working with individuals with neurological conditions and complex rehabilitation needs.
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team-working abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable due to travel between sites.
