Are you a Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with a passion for education and palliative care? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated Practice Development Team on a part-time basis at Willen Hospice, the leading provider of specialist palliative care in the Milton Keynes area.

This unique and rewarding role is perfect for a qualified health professional looking to develop their career in education, clinical quality, and service improvement-while maintaining hands-on clinical practice.

What you’ll do:

Deliver and support high-quality, evidence-based education and training across clinical teams.

Work alongside staff in clinical environments to assess practice and maintain care standards.

Provide face-to-face clinical care to patients and their families.

Drive compliance, safety, and sustainability initiatives

Support clinical projects and quality improvement initiatives.

We’re looking for someone who:
  • Is a qualified RN or AHP with current registration and practical clinical experience.
  • Has a strong interest in palliative and end-of-life care.
  • Has effective organisational and communication skills.
  • Confident in engaging with a wide range of healthcare professionals.
  • Has a desire to develop and deliver teaching and education delivery skills with confidence.
  • Has knowledge of audit processes and evidence-based practice is desirable.

Set in the tranquil grounds of Willen Lake, Willen Hospice is the leading provider of specialist palliative care in the Milton Keynes area. We offer round-the-clock, expert care to local patients with a life-limiting illness, both in their own homes and in our In-Patient Unit. Our passionate staff and volunteers make sure our care is personalised to each patient’s needs and supports their loved ones too.

We have a thriving Therapeutic & Wellbeing service providing counselling, physiotherapy, activity groups and more, and a specialist Lymphoedema service. As a registered charity, we raise vital funds through our dedicated Income Generation team and our growing portfolio of high street and online shops, to ensure our care stays free of charge.
