Band 3

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, shift patterns covering 8am – 5pm plus weekend working/on‑call.
Fixed Term/Secondment until 12/11/2026.

Department: HR Services.

A fixed‑term/Secondment opportunity has arisen for a hardworking and conscientious HR Services Administrator to join our busy, multifunctional HR Services Team.

The role involves providing a comprehensive front‑line, customer‑focused service to employees and managers who require assistance with HR transactions, including payroll, temporary staffing bookings and other general queries through the HR Helpdesk (telephone and email). The post holder will also support the maintenance and usage of the Electronic Staff Record System (ESR) and other digital payroll and HR information systems, supporting managers and employees with updating and correcting employee records.

  • Deliver customer‑focused service to employees and managers via telephone and email.
  • Process payroll, temporary staffing bookings and general HR queries.
  • Maintain and support the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system.
  • Support managers with usage of ESR and other HR information systems.
  • Adhere to strict payroll deadlines and maintain excellent time‑management skills.
  • Collaborate with other HR teams and external payroll provider to resolve queries efficiently.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Strong customer service skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Interest in Human Resources and supporting employees.
  • Excellent IT skills with experience using electronic HR payroll systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) system is desirable.
