Join our team
ICAEW is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Data Protection Advisor to join our team. As a Data Protection Advisor, you will be an integral part of our data protection team, providing expert guidance and support across various aspects of data protection.
Role Profile- To support with all areas of data protection advice, process and compliance
- Support with delivery of programmes of work and projects relating to data protection
- Support departmental data protection leads with data protection advice and activities
- To assist with Data Subject Access Rights under the General Data Protection Regulation
- Support internal stakeholders where required with the development of Data Protection Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest Assessments and due diligence reviews
- Address data protection queries with sound, reliable advice and guidance on data protection
- To assist with data breach incidents, complaints and other data protection enquiries
- Support with data protection awareness, education and compliance internally
- Assist with the updating of policies, processes, procedures and Privacy Notices
- To support with responding to Data Subject Rights including subject access requests and rights to erasure within statutory deadlines
- Experienced paralegal or data protection professional
- Paralegal / relevant legal or data protection qualification or proven working experience of data protection law working in house within a data protection function
- Good understanding of data protection legislation, PECR and the GDPR
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft Teams
