Senior Developer - Service Now – 6 months – Hybrid, Milton Keynes – SC – £610p/day (Umbrella)

A Senior Developer (Service Now) with SC Security Cleared is required by our government services client based near Milton Keynes. Commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton, North London. You will be required to be available to work on-site for up to 3 days per work. Working in an SC Security Cleared environment. SC Clearance required, due to the urgency of the role, or you will be eligible to undertake clearance.

This role focuses on customizing and optimizing Service Now applications, building new features, and integrating the platform with internal and external systems. The developer works closely with business stakeholders, architects, and process owners to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high‑quality technical solutions.

• Hands‑on experience developing on the Service Now platform (2+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Service Now scripting, and Service Now API usage.
• Experience with workflow development, UI customization, Flow Designer, and App Engine.
• Understanding of Service Now data models, ACLs, roles, and platform security.
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and common authentication frameworks (OAuth, Basic Auth).
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Service Now certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS in ITSM/ITOM/others).
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management best practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Familiarity with Dev Ops pipelines and source control (Git, Git Lab, Azure Dev Ops).
