We’re looking for a Senior Event IT Engineer to provide expert 1st to 3rd line IT support and infrastructure services across our Track, Factory and Race Operations Rooms throughout the Formula 1 season.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering seamless event support, including pre-event preparation, live event coverage, post-event IT turnaround, sea freight coordination, and support for test and filming days.

Main responsibilities of the role:

  • Set up, operate, and support IT systems for race, test events, and OPS rooms, ensuring high performance, availability, and reliability.

  • Provide effective end-user support, resolving incidents promptly and maintaining accurate call logs to a high professional standard.

  • Lead and contribute to IT projects related to trackside operations, race environments, and both R  and RBPT OPS rooms.

  • Manage event logistics, including air and sea freight coordination, packing, scheduling, and CARNET management.

  • Liaise with third-party providers to coordinate installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth delivery.

  • Support IT security controls, produce user and support documentation, assist with event turnarounds, and attend operational meetings.

Essential attributes for success:

  • Proven ability to independently resolve 1st to 3rd line IT issues in remote, high-pressure environments.

  • Hands-on experience with configuring and troubleshooting servers, networks, storage, and end-user devices.

  • Solid working knowledge of Windows (client and server), Linux systems, and VDI platforms.

  • Familiar with LAN, WAN, and SD-WAN networking, as well as virtualisation and containerisation technologies.

  • Comfortable supporting and maintaining hardware across laptops, PCs, and servers.
