Senior Scientific Data Scientist / Pipeline Engineer Fully remote but can be hybrid upon request.
6 Month Contract likely to extend

Outside IR35 £ 450 to £500 per day This is a chance to work on scientifically meaningful software that directly supports real-world discovery. You will take ownership of analytical pipelines that sit at the heart of a data-driven research platform, collaborating closely with scientists to turn complex experimental data into reliable, scalable insights. The Company They are a technology-led life sciences organisation operating at the intersection of biology, automation, and data.

The business builds platforms that generate high-quality experimental data at scale and uses advanced analytics to accelerate scientific discovery. With a strong emphasis on rigour, reproducibility, and collaboration, they bring together engineers and scientists to solve complex research challenges.

The Role and Deliverables Design, build, and maintain Python-based analytical pipelines for a range of experimental and bioassay data. Implement robust statistical and modelling workflows, including quality control, normalisation, and curve fitting. Translate scientific workflows into reproducible, automated analysis processes. Partner closely with laboratory-based scientists to understand experimental design and data requirements. Improve data structures and analysis readiness across the platform.

Contribute to clear documentation and well-engineered, production-ready code. Your Skills & Experience Strong experience using Python for scientific or analytical software development. Proven capability analysing complex, structured experimental or assay-style datasets. Solid understanding of statistical modelling, curve fitting, and data quality control. Experience building end-to-end data or analysis pipelines with a focus on reproducibility. Comfortable using version control and applying sound software engineering practices.

Able to communicate clearly with both technical and scientific stakeholders.
