The Chief Information & Resiliency Officer area is looking for a Disaster Recovery Analyst based out of Unity Place, Milton Keynes. Our Technology & Operations function provides the foundations upon which our business operates. From our apps, online banking sites, branch systems and so on, we make sure our customers can bank with us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the bank as a Disaster Recovery Analyst. The DR Analyst will support a Senior DR Analyst to drive the vision, direction and align Santander UK’s Disaster Recovery strategy and will ensure we continue to service our customers in the event of the unexpected. You will support the delivery of the DR strategy, and improvements to the DR testing.

This will encompass both On and Off premise infrastructure and the corresponding Business Services. Here you’ll leverage traditional best practices to optimise agility as part of Digital Transformation journeys within the organisation, supporting the delivery of effective service management through the definition and adoption of a governance practice that uses KPIs and metrics to track and measure the quality of service.

• Supporting and delivering the overall DR strategy of multiple functional areas across Infrastructure and the CIO application teams.
• Identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement.
• Supporting operations to support existing infrastructure, applications and development of new solutions and tools to meet the requirements of the Disaster Recovery Agenda.
• Assisting and supporting in delivering the DR Strategy.
• Supporting the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure that we meet our KPIs and add value to the enterprise.
• Delivering DR testing for both on‑prem and cloud‑based services AWS infrastructure knowledge, including Resilience Hub and FIS.
• Strong documentation skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Experience with Service Now and using AI tools to improve efficiency and automation.
