About our Client

Key Partnership has a longstanding relationship with a well-established law firm that operates from prestigious offices across Milton Keynes, Northampton, Brighton, and London.

With a turnover of approximately £15 million and a team of around 200 legal professionals and business support staff, our client is a financially strong, forward-thinking firm with an excellent reputation in the legal market.

Following a period of sustained growth - both organically and through strategic acquisitions - the firm continues to invest heavily in its Real Estate function. This makes it an exciting time to join a business that is scaling while maintaining a collaborative, people-first culture.

About the role

If you are a driven Commercial Property Solicitor looking to accelerate your career within a thriving Real Estate team, this could be the ideal opportunity.

Working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, you will manage a varied caseload while supporting high-quality client relationships. The team is known for its supportive, open-door culture and offers strong exposure to complex transactions, providing an excellent platform for continued professional development.

Below are some of the day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Managing your own caseload of commercial property matters from instruction through to completion.
  • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of legal documentation including leases, deeds of variation, licences to occupy, agreements for lease, assignments, easements, and freehold acquisitions.
  • Advising clients on landlord and tenant matters, lease renewals, and property finance transactions.
  • Investigating registered and unregistered titles, raising requisitions, and advising on risks and potential remedies where title defects arise.
  • Handling completions and overseeing post-completion matters including SDLT submissions and HM Land Registry applications.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, surveyors, and third-party lawyers.
  • Providing clear, commercially focused legal advice within agreed timelines.
  • Supporting project work and collaborating with colleagues to ensure transactions progress efficiently.
  • Participating in client meetings, training sessions, and marketing initiatives where appropriate.
  • Contributing to business development activity and promoting the wider services of the firm.

What We're Looking For:

  • 1+ years PQE with solid experience within Commercial Property.
  • Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant law, leases, and general real estate transactions.
  • Confidence managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Commercially minded with a practical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communicator, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
