About the roleWe are looking for a reliable and motivated Operations Operative / Driver to join our Logistics team in Milton Keynes. This hands‑on operational role supports IT recycling collections and wider warehouse activities, ensuring collections are completed safely, legally, and to the highest standard of accuracy and customer service. You will represent the business on customer sites, handle IT assets securely, and play a key role in meeting daily operational KPIs.
Flexibility and a willingness to become multi‑skilled across IT recycling and warehouse operations are essential.
- Carry out IT recycling and collections in a professional, safe, and compliant manner
- Load and unload vehicles, including palletising IT recycling collections
- Accurately check, record, weigh, and count customer assets and waste
- Use internal computer systems to record asset and collection data
- Complete all collection paperwork accurately and on time
- Ensure vehicle safety checks are completed and standards maintained
- Meet departmental KPIs and operational targets
- Maintain clean, tidy, and safe work areas at all times
- Report accidents, near misses, and safety concerns immediately
- Support ad hoc operational duties as required by the Logistics Manager
- Clean UK driving licence (must be 25+ for insurance purposes)
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good IT skills and confidence using systems
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively
- Self‑motivated with a positive, team‑focused attitude
- GCSE Maths and English
- Experience in delivery driving or logistics
- Knowledge of IT equipment and components
- Understanding of Health & Safety, road safety, and data protection
- Experience with stock control, ERP systems, or handheld scanners
- Familiarity with Lean or 5S working practices
- A customer‑focused approach and professional attitude
- Commitment to safety, accuracy, and compliance
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
