  • Review project scopes and requirements to ensure sourcing activity is commercially effective.
  • Conduct supplier due diligence, commercial evaluations and risk assessments.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and develop clear recommendations for approval.
  • Present sourcing proposals and commercial recommendations to relevant stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Provide procurement guidance, coaching and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure procurement policies, procedures and category strategies are followed consistently.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve procurement processes, supplier performance and commercial outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across different brands, functions and associated businesses.
  • Promote procurement best practice and support the delivery of sustainable, long-term value.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in an indirect procurement or strategic sourcing role.
  • Experience managing tender processes, supplier evaluations and commercial negotiations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to evaluate costs, risks and value.
  • Ability to work independently within agreed category strategies and governance frameworks.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach to managing projects and priorities.
  • Resilience, curiosity and a willingness to contribute within a continuous improvement environment.
  • Confidence presenting commercial recommendations to stakeholders and approval groups.

Our client offers a competitive reward and benefits package, which includes:

  • Employee vehicle schemes, including options for eligible family members.
  • Enhanced pension contributions.
  • 27 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Life assurance at four times annual salary.
  • Health and wellbeing support.
  • Flexible benefits designed to support different lifestyles and personal circumstances.
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements.
  • Structured onboarding and professional development support.
  • Access to an extensive online learning platform and instructor-led training.
  • Internal and external mentoring opportunities.
  • One-to-one coaching and career development support.
  • Opportunities to explore roles and career pathways across a large, multi-entity organisation.
