Do you have strong experiences in senior Lean/Six Sigma leadership roles? Have you successfully led site-wide or multi-department CI programmes within an operational environment? Are you confident influencing and coaching senior leaders and cross-functional teams to embed sustainable change?
Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Senior Continuous Improvement Manager to join our River Island contract based in Milton Keynes
. This is a vital role in delivering operational excellence by partnering with senior leaders to influence, shape and improve business performance through Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
This role demonstrated the tangible value of Lean tools and practices, ensuring they are embedded and sustained across the site. You will translate high-level strategic objectives into practical, value-adding actions, clearly connecting Continuous Improvement initiatives to overall business performance.
This is a full-time, permanent role. You will work Monday to Friday
, covering the hours of 09:00 till 17:00

you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and own the sites Continuous Improvement strategy, aligned to wider company objectives
- Identify and prioritise high-impact improvement initiatives across multiple departments
- Deploy advanced methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive operational excellence
- Coach and mentor CI Managers and site-based teams to build CI capability and ownership
- Lead Kaizen activities, tracking and reporting benefits of delivery
- Support colleague development through Lean training programmes, including Yellow and Green Belt projects (coaching and mentoring)
- Strong proven experience in a Senior Lean/Six Sigma leadership role ideally within an operations environment
- Strong, in-depth knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma tools with hands-on workshop delivery experience (Black Belt or equivalent)
- Strong business and operational acumen, with the ability to align and prioritise CI activity to site objectives
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills
- Proven ability to operate and influence at all levels of the business
- Demonstrates a selfless, collaborative approach to supporting colleagues
