Overview

We’re recruiting a Project Manager to join our Children’s Services team at Milton Keynes City Council. This is a rewarding role where you’ll lead and deliver complex projects that shape services for children, young people and families. You’ll play a key part in designing and delivering change, ensuring projects are well planned, effectively managed and achieve meaningful outcomes for our communities.

You’ll be working at the heart of delivery, supporting priorities across the service and contributing to wider organisational goals. The SEND Reform Programme leads the implementation of national SEND reforms across the local area, working with education, health, social care, children, young people, and families to improve inclusion, experiences, and outcomes. Through strong partnership working and co-production, we drive system-wide improvement while ensuring delivery against local priorities and Department for Education requirements.

In this role, you’ll contribute to this work by supporting programmes and projects that help embed sustainable improvements across the system.

Site-based role. This is a Site-Based role, and you’ll be expected to work from the designated workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver complex projects that shape services for children, young people and families.
  • Design and deliver change; ensure projects are well planned, effectively managed and achieve meaningful outcomes.
  • Support priorities across the Children’s Services and contribute to wider organisational goals.
  • Contribute to the SEND Reform Programme by supporting programmes and projects that embed sustainable improvements across the system.
  • Work with partners across education, health, social care, children, young people, and families to drive collaboration and improvement.
Qualifications and experience
  • Experience leading complex projects in a multi-agency/public sector environment is preferred.
  • Strong partnership working and co-production skills with stakeholders across education, health, and social care.
