Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Quality Inspector (Permanent)
We’re currently looking for a Quality Inspector to join a growing engineering/manufacturing business on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, working closely with production, and taking real ownership of quality standards.

You’ll be responsible for inspecting incoming materials and finished products, ensuring everything meets company and customer specifications before it leaves site.

The Role

As Quality Inspector, you’ll be involved across the full production cycle, including:

* Carrying out visual and dimensional inspections on incoming materials and finished products

* Operating CMM equipment (experience with Aberlink preferred; PC-DMIS experience advantageous)

* Interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances (GD&T)

* Identifying, rejecting, and reporting non-conforming materials and products

* Supporting the Quality Manager with quality systems, procedures, and KPIs

* Preparing inspection reports and maintaining accurate quality documentation

* Working closely with production to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement

* Monitoring production stages to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout

About You

You’ll ideally have experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, but attitude and attention to detail matter just as much as background.

We’re looking for someone who has:

* Experience in a quality inspection or quality control role (engineering/manufacturing preferred)

* Confidence reading engineering drawings and specifications

* A good understanding of measurement tools and inspection techniques

* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach

* Good communication skills and the confidence to raise quality concerns

* Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office; SAP/MRP knowledge beneficial)

* The ability to work independently and manage priorities

Desirable but not essential:

* CMM experience (training can be provided)

* Forklift licence

* Experience supporting audits, KPIs, or customer quality requirements

Working Environment

This is a hands-on, shop-floor based role and may involve standing for long periods and some manual handling. Overtime may be required at busy production times. Full training will be provided on company equipment and processes
