CNC Machinist - Milling & Turning

Location:

Milton Keynes
Pay: (flexible depending on experience)

Are you an experienced CNC Machinist looking to join a forward‑thinking engineering business? We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual with strong milling and turning experience to support high‑quality production across a range of complex components.

About the Role

In this role, you will work across a variety of CNC machining processes, supporting both day‑to‑day manufacturing and new project development. You will help ensure production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and support CNC milling and turning activities
Work with HAAS and Hurco 3‑axis milling machines
Operate Doosan turning and mill‑turn machines, including live tooling and sub‑spindle processes
Provide hands‑on support in preparing and operating CNC machinery as required
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and 3D models
Assist with quotation analysis to support new business opportunities
Develop machining programs and tooling for complex parts using OneCNC
Inspect and measure completed components to ensure compliance with requirements
Plan workloads and coordinate team activities to meet agreed schedules
Manage materials, complete works orders, and update progress on internal systems
Carry out routine machine checks and ensure equipment is well maintained
Report and support the resolution of machine faults or performance issues

What We're Looking For:

Strong background in CNC milling and turning

Experience with HAAS, Hurco, and Doosan machines
Ability to program using OneCNC
Confident interpreting technical drawings and models
A proactive, quality‑driven approach
Good organisational and team‑coordination skills
