Location:
Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Salary: up to £48,000
Shift: Monday to Friday, 10:00pm - 6:00am

Role OverviewSynergi are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing site in Milton Keynes. This is a permanent night shift (Monday to Friday) role working within a busy production environment, with a strong focus on breakdown response, planned maintenance, and ensuring machinery operates efficiently. The site operates within food production and utilises equipment such as mixers, ovens and packaging machinery.

The vacancy has arisen due to an engineer leaving the business.
Team Structure- 4 Maintenance Engineers in total
- 2 Engineers on day shift
- 2 Engineers on night shift
- Reporting to the Team Leader and Engineering Manager
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production and packaging equipment
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Fault-find on electrical and mechanical systems
- Maintain and repair machinery including mixers, ovens and packaging equipment
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Complete maintenance documentation and follow site procedures
- Work closely with production teams to maintain efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and engineering standards
- Escalate recurring issues to the Team Leader or Engineering Manager
- Multi skilled maintenance engineering background
- Experience working within FMCG, food or fast-paced manufacturing environments
- Strong fault-finding capability on production machinery
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
- Comfortable working permanent night shifts
- Able to work independently and within a small team
- Strong communication skills
- Recognised engineering qualification
- Overseas qualifications will be considered with UK ENIC / NARIC equivalency
- Relevant hands-on experience will also be considered
