Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist role based in Milton Keynes. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce precision components and assemblies to engineering drawings and customer specifications. Day‑to‑day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tooling, preparing materials, and programming or adjusting CNC controls to achieve accurate machining. The role involves monitoring machine operations, performing in‑process inspections, and making adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.

The CNC Machinist will also complete routine machine maintenance, follow health and safety procedures, collaborate with welding and fabrication teams, and support continuous improvement in productivity and quality.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Machine Operation skills, including setup, safe operation, and basic maintenance of CNC equipment.
  • Candidates should possess Machining and Milling skills, with experience producing precision parts to tight tolerances using CNC machinery.
  • Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, including measurement, inspection, and documentation to ensure components meet specifications.
  • Candidates should possess practical experience working with industrial Machinery in a fabrication or engineering environment.
  • Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in machining, engineering, or manufacturing is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with welders, fabricators, and supervisors on‑site.
