Senior Technician
Salary: £40,000 – £44,000
Location:
Milton Keynes
Monday - Friday
I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Technician to join an established engineering business in Milton Keynes.
This is a hands‑on role working within a technical engineering and manufacturing environment, supporting the assembly, testing and development of specialist products.
The Role- Carry out mechanical and electrical assembly
- Work from engineering drawings, build cards and assembly instructions
- Complete mechanical and electrical testing and measurements
- Support the development and improvement of build processes
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Project Engineers
- Assist with investigations and controlled strip‑downs of equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Ensure tooling and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose
- Support continuous improvement activities
- Assist with training and mentoring other technicians
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
- Relevant practical Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
- 5+ years' experience in an engineering workshop environment
- Experience with in Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport or a similar high-precision environment
- Strong mechanical assembly experience
- Good understanding of electrical systems and testing
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a hands‑on manufacturing environment
