We are seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team based in Milton Keynes. In this role, you will understand and promote the principles and importance of self-assurance within the Construction Delivery Team.

You will understand and promote ownership of Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and their checklists to ensure quality compliance throughout the construction phases. You will collaborate with the Construction Delivery Teams to plan for delivery pre-work processes, create ITPs to suit the construction methods/activities, check records of construction and progressive capture of records. You will also understand and implement the EKFB quality requirements to ensure ITPs are compliant and align with HS2 requirements and contain the appropriate document references.

Part of this role is to support the delivery of all construction phase quality assurance activities and records and be responsible for checking the completeness of the records in accordance with the plans and procedures. You will liaise with the Handover and Completion team to ensure the records are adequate for handover. You will actively understand quality issues and be instrumental in finding solutions with the Construction Delivery team, the quality team and subject matter experts.

This position involves developing and utilising relationships with the Designer’s and Client’s representatives and internal stakeholders to deliver all ITP-related aspects of quality and assurance, ensuring seamless information exchange with the Construction Delivery Team. You will use relevant IT systems to manage all relevant quality documentation and records and to manage progress of the ITPs between EKFB, Designer and Client representatives.

In addition, you will deliver awareness sessions as part of a wider programme to non-quality professionals and communicate the benefits and knowledge of the Business Management System. You will carry out internal audits and other quality surveillance activities as required and actively support the Project Quality Assurance Manager and other Quality Assurance Engineers. You will also encourage and promote the “Speak Up”, “Choices” and “Right First Time” initiatives and be responsible for Ad hoc duties as required.
