Assistant Shop Manager Newport Pagnell

Fixed-term contract for 6 months

Starting salary 10354 per annum (FTE 25885) with room to develop and progress through the pay grade banding up to 10612 per annum (FTE 26532).

As an enthusiastic people orientated Assistant Shop Manager you will make a positive impact to the community through the success and growth of your store – every sale supports a greater purpose within Keech Hospice!

This role offers 16hours and requires you to be fully flexible including weekends on a rota basis

What you will do
  • Support the Shop Manager in achieving sales and profit targets.
  • Promote Keech within the community and encourage customer engagement.
  • Optimise store space and regular stock rotation in line with company policy.
  • Ensuring excellent customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Sign up new Gift Aid donations and process paperwork in compliance with HMRC regulations.

  • Although retail experience is desirable it is not a necessity
  • Ability to build good rapport and be part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and people skills
  • Great communicator with the ability to work on own initiative

Keech Hospice provides free specialist palliative and end of life care for people of all ages. We support adults in Bedfordshire. Children and their families in Bedfordshire Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes. At home in hospice or wherever were needed.

As a teaching hospice our exceptional people training and facilities are helping local communities to live and die well.
