Business Development Manager – Sales Executive

32k to 42k basic + annual profit share

Working hours Mon to Friday 8 to 5

Our client is a well-established UK distributor specialising in structured cabling, fibre optic and networking infrastructure solutions. With decades of experience supplying installers, integrators and trade professionals, the company has built a strong reputation for product expertise, customer service and reliable supply across the telecoms, security and IT infrastructure markets.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager
- Sales Executive to drive new business and expand market presence across the UK.

The Role

This is a key sales position responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities while managing and growing relationships with existing customers. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding the company’s footprint within the structured cabling and networking sector.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets

* Build and maintain strong relationships with installers, integrators and contractors

* Promote a portfolio of structured cabling, fibre optic and networking products

* Work closely with internal sales and technical teams to support customer requirements

* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets

* Deliver product presentations and technical consultations to customers

* Maintain and manage a strong sales pipeline through CRM systems

* Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions and client meetings

Sales Candidate Requirements

* Proven experience in business development or field sales

* Experience with in one or more of the following industries would be advantageous:

* Structured cabling

* Data networking

* Telecommunications

* Electrical distribution

* Security systems

* Strong relationship-building and account management skills

* Commercially focused with a proactive approach to generating new business

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills

* Full UK driving licence

Desirable

* Technical knowledge of cabling systems, fibre optics or network infrastructure

* Experience selling into wholesalers

* Existing contacts within the network infrastructure or telecoms market
