Microsoft is seeking a resilient, sales-minded Senior Cloud & AI Solution Sales Specialist to drive Cloud, Data, and AI transformation across some of the UK’s largest Water Industry customers. This is a quota-carrying sales role with accountability for revenue growth, Azure consumption, pipeline creation, and strategic platform adoption. You will own the Cloud & AI growth strategy across a portfolio of key accounts, leading executive engagements that help customers modernise their estates, unify their data platforms, and accelerate AI innovation.
Success in this role requires a proven ability to build and close complex enterprise opportunities, develop net-new business, shape account strategy, and lead competitive sales motions against AWS, Google Cloud, and other market competitors. You will work with and orchestrate a world-class team of technical specialists, solution engineers, architects, customer success, and partner resources, bringing the full breadth of Microsoft capabilities to every customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Own and exceed Cloud & AI Platforms revenue, Azure Consumption Revenue (ACR), consumption, and platform adoption targets across a portfolio of strategic Water Industry customers.
- Develop and execute account growth strategies that drive long-term cloud, data, and AI transformation.
- Lead executive-level conversations with CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, business leaders, and transformation stakeholders.
- Build, qualify, progress, and close complex enterprise sales opportunities from creation through execution.
- Create and accelerate net-new pipeline while expanding existing Microsoft platform investments.
- Lead competitive sales pursuits, positioning Microsoft Cloud & AI solutions against AWS, Google Cloud, and alternative market offerings.
- Drive end-to-end platform adoption across Azure, Microsoft Fabric, One Lake, AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Azure Data Services, Git Hub, and related cloud and AI technologies.
- Orchestrate a high-performing virtual team of Solution Engineers, Technical Specialists, Architects, Customer Success, Partners, and Account Teams to deliver customer outcomes and win strategic opportunities.
- Identify customer business priorities and align Microsoft solutions to measurable business value and transformation outcomes.
- Build trusted advisor relationships that position Microsoft as the strategic Cloud & AI partner of choice.
Proven enterprise technology sales experience with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience owning a quota and being directly accountable for sales performance and business outcomes.

- Strong ability to lead through influence, engage executive stakeholders, and orchestrate cross-functional teams to achieve results., Strong understanding of cloud technologies, data and analytics platforms, artificial intelligence (AI), and application modernisation solutions.
- Experience engaging senior business and technical decision makers on Azure, Data & AI, Microsoft Fabric, and emerging technology opportunities.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with the ability to identify, shape, and accelerate strategic growth opportunities.
- Strategic, customer-focused, and highly resilient professional with a growth mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and a passion for delivering measurable business impact.
Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across United Kingdom is £ 74,400.00 - £ per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
