Milton Keynes – Qualified Social Worker – Family Support Team - £38

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Family Support Team in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality social work services to children in need, children subject to child protection plans, and families requiring targeted support.

Hybrid working – 2/3 days per week in the office

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a caseload of children and families in line with statutory responsibilities.

* Undertake Child & Family Assessments in accordance with legislation and local procedures.

* Complete Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.

* Develop and implement Child in Need and Child Protection Plans.

* Carry out risk assessments and ensure robust safeguarding interventions.

* Prepare high-quality reports for court proceedings where required.

* Participate in child protection conferences, core group meetings, and multi-agency planning meetings.

* Work collaboratively with partner agencies including education, health, and police.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case recordings in line with statutory guidance.

* Contribute to permanency planning and support positive outcomes for children and young people.

Essential Requirements:

* Degree/Masters in Social Work and SWE registration.

* 2+ years of post-qualification experience.

* Strong knowledge of UK social care legislation and practice.

* Right to work in UK
