Senior Registered Psychologist – Youth Custody Service

Location:

Milton Keynes (Oakhill Secure Training Centre).

Employment:
Full Time, Part Time, Part Time/Job Share, Flexible Working. Hybrid working arrangements available.

• Provide psychological assessment, treatment and consultation to boys and girls in custody.
• Line manage and supervise other psychologists, trainees and support staff.
• Contribute to national consultancy projects, intervention models, staff training and development.
• Implement and maintain evidence‑based, trauma‑informed practice across the custodial estate.
• Participate in continuous professional development and career progression activities.

• Minimum 18 months post‑registration experience; preferred 2 years before commencing the role.
• Professional background in Psychology; chartered psychologist and full member of the appropriate BPS division are required where the post specifies.
• Experience providing clinical supervision to trainees.
• Completed relevant training in effective treatment models and best practice.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• CV or work history and statement of suitability will be assessed.
