Position: Senior Youth Worker (Bank)

About the Role

YMCA deliver high quality, targeted youth work in youth club settings in the Milton Keynes Community. We give young people the opportunity to access a safe space, to build on their connection to their community, improve their wellbeing and have fun!

As a Senior Youth Worker, you will be a positive adult role model for local young people, you will facilitate meaningful conversations, workshops and activities, whilst also taking a supportive and compassionate role. These roles are involved in the development, organising and leading community programmes aimed at young people between the ages of 11 and 18. Through these programmes, they will support and empower young people to explore and understand their ideas, values and beliefs;

building their confidence and life skills.

Pay & Hours

We are seeking a Senior Youth Worker (£14.18 per hour). You will be employed on a zero hours contract to cover sessions at Youth Clubs, sessions will take place in the afternoons and evenings around Milton Keynes.

This role is to organise and lead youth sessions during the week (term time only) from 4pm onwards, plus 1 hour a week prep time per session. You must be able to work these shifts during term time (39 weeks per year).

About You

All applicants must have had direct experience working with groups of young people (11-25 year olds) ideally in a youth club setting and preferably a youth work qualification (JNC).
